This week in 5th grade...
Science- We are continuing our study on Earth's Systems with a focus on the hydrosphere.
Writing- We are working hard on our research reports on our Westward Expansion topic. This week we are organizing our notes, writing flash drafts, and looking back at our notes and ideas for revision.
Reading- We are learning how nonfiction texts are getting more complex as we are moving up in reading levels- the main ideas are implicit and the vocabulary is more difficult. We are learning strategies to overcome these challenges!
Math- We are wrapping up our unit on division. Our ch. 3/4 test will be on Thursday. Please see email for more study resources. Students will work on a study guide in class Tuesday and Wednesday.
Social Studies- We are wrapping up our study on the Constitution with a project.
